How likely is it that your smartwatch can be hacked?

dsc-4786-1408619923-pns4-column-width-inline-1431961831-4Eqy-full-width-inlineWareable put out a great post today that talks about the likelihood of smartwatches and other being hacked.  While it’s not a major concern yet, it’s likely to grow in importance as wearables gain in both popularity and features.

From their post:

“Current wearables have a limited attack surface,” Liviu Arsene, Senior E-Threat Analyst at Bitdefender told us, playing down the risk of a real-world hack but warning that the danger would increase. “Future wearables will likely behave as current mobile devices, making them far more appealing for a cybercriminal.”

It’s a quickly growing market and likely one that hackers will target more frequently as it expands. There’s not much to worry about yet, but it seems that will change in the future. Check out the full post at wareable.com
