New mapping tool that’s great for small churches

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Google Earth Hacks has just unveiled YourMap and I think it’ll be a great tool for smaller churches to use.  In a nutshell, it’s a simple tool to embed a Google Map on your page.  Some details:

  • Fill out a short form and the HTML code is generated for you.
  • Paste the code on your site.  This should work for virtually any kind of site — no server-side scripting language (PHP, ASP, etc) required.
  • Along with the Google Map, a Google Earth KML file is generated to share with your users.
  • All of that can be done in well under five minutes.

Check out their demo page, or just try it yourself.  When you submit your details, it shows a demo right on their page so you know what it would look like on your site.
