With over 1,300 posts on this blog, I can promise you that some aren’t any good. There are some that I’m proud of, some that are ok, and some that just aren’t worth much. It happens, and it’s a big reason why I keep plugging away.
While it’d be ideal for every post to be a home run, that’s not what I’m going for here. With my main goal being to explore and learn more for myself, I think that “making more pots” is a good tactic to take.
Brad Pitt sees acting in a similar way. In his acceptance speech at the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards, Pitt said:
“I’ve been banging away at this thing for 30 years. I think the simple math is, some projects work and some don’t. There’s no reason to belabor either one. Just get on to the next.”
He’s had piles of success, no doubt, but there’s been some duds along the way. Some work, some don’t, but just get on to the next and try to get better for what’s to come.
