As I shared near the end of 2023, I don’t set many goals for myself but I work hard to keep pushing in the directions that I want to go.
In particular:
- I once again was able to publish a post every day, and I hope I can continue that for a long time into the future.
- The Stacking Knowledge podcast continues to grow, with a new episode every two weeks and we’re up to 36 episodes now.
- My Anki streak is up to 2,400 days now, which has been an amazing tool to use.
- My Duolingo streak is up to 1,063 days now, but I’ve been kind of lazy about just knocking out a single lesson most days, so my skills haven’t improved much. I need to get more serious about this one.
- My use of Supernatural (and other exercise) increased this year, but I don’t have specific metrics that I can easily assemble. I attribute the increase largely to their new multiplayer mode, as I meet with some friends almost every weekday for a short group workout.
- I’ve gotten more serious about trying to visit Readwise at least once per day, and I’m up to 224 days in a row now, so that’s a solid start.
Our company will be setting more big goals this year, I’ll keep pushing forward on my individual efforts, and it should be a fantastic 2025!
