In an effort to help me keep up with everything I post each week, here is my latest “Sunday Summary” of my posts from the week.
Mon, June 5: The right time is right now
Don’t start that big thing next Monday, or next month, or on January 1. If it’s worth doing, start doing it right now. I started this daily blogging streak on October 29, 2020 (a random Thursday), because I wanted to do it so I just started doing it.
Tue, June 6: Five years of Anki
I’ve now gone five years of using Anki at least a little bit every single day. The cost is zero, the effort is minimal, and the gains are amazing.
Wed, June 7: We are impossible to imitate
Our company gives away all of our marketing “secrets”, because there aren’t any, and you should do the same in your industry. The key is in the thousands of little things that you do that set you apart from everyone else.
Thu, June 8: Produce more, because so much of it should be trashed
If you create a lot of content, much of it won’t be very good — and that’s perfect! Create more content, so while you pile up more bad stuff, you also will find yourself putting out some great stuff.
Fri, June 9: What service do you offer?
Clarity always wins. In this example, I showcase a company that has very clean branding and a short tagline, but it offers no help in understanding what they actually do.
Sat, June 10: Awareness of your shortcomings doesn’t excuse them
If you’re a jerk and “that’s just the way I am”, that’s problematic and worth trying to fix.
I hope you found some value in this. If you ever have questions, ideas, or disagreements regarding anything I write, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
